What type of dress should we wear?
A. At Americas Fabulous Faces we do not score attire, we only score facial beauty and personality so the dress is your choice. It is not necessary to wear an expensive dress in order to score well with our judges. We are looking for a beautiful face and personality, not an expensive dress. Sunday Best, Easter dresses, flower girl dresses, long, short, tea-length is all acceptable. Select a dress that is flattering on your child, that is a beautiful color to stand out. Leave the rest to the judges.

Is makeup allowed?
A. America's Fabulous Faces is not a glitz pageant. We encourage all parents to keep it age appropriate and naturally flattering. We do allow hair and makeup done. But we do not want to see big stiff hair and over done makeup. We want to be able to see your childs face and recognize their age. For example if your child is in a dance recital you are going to have on some makeup to enchance your child on stage because lighting in the room can add shadows or even bright lights can wash out a childs face while on stage. We want babies to look like babies and a 5 year old to look like a five year old. We are a pageant and the fun part of pageants is getting all dressed up and going on stage. We want it to be fun for our contestants but we also want them to look like "real kids" so don't go overboard. A little bit goes along way. Whether you decide to do your own childs hair and makeup or have a professional h/m artist, just remember to follow our guidelines, KEEP IT SIMPLE and NATURAL.

What if my child has missing teeth, wears braces or has glasses?
A. We advise our judges to not deduct points from missing teeth, braces, glasses and not to deduct for bruises or scratches as these are natural things that occur and children should not be deducted for such things.

America's Fabulous Faces is excited to bring you another year of wonderful pageant competition. Our national pageant is going to be just around the corner and many of you are already preparing. It seems like each year we get lots of inquiries that ask many of the same questions. So to make sure that we are on the same page, we decided to give you some examples because a "picture speaks a thousand words"!

We will be adding Photos for examples for the kind of hairstyles and overall appearance that we recommend. We ask everyone not to over do it with the hairstyles and choose simple hairstyles that wont take away from the contestants face. Keep it simple.

America's Fabulous Faces Pageants strives to create a well organized, fair and fun-filled experience for you and your child. We hope you and your family enjoys being a part of the America's Fabulous Faces tradition. An exciting and eventful time awaits you and your family with wonderful experiences and memories.
